Our 4 house teams across the school are battling against each other in an attempt to be the winning team that receives our house cup trophy. Reward points are linked to our school values of Kindness, Integrity and Respect. House points can be achieved both in and out of the classroom and are not linked to our sports day results. Our values mascots will continue to recognise individual classrooms who show our school values through this system and classes can see daily updates as we have created this online forum. Parents can monitor each house team’s progression and talk with their child about this.
We are also working towards a whole school reward. When we achieve 10,000 points as a school, we will look to engage in a water day for all students during one afternoon when weather conditions are appropriate. We are still discussing exactly what this will look like, but more information will be shared with parents once the day is confirmed. These rewards will change throughout the year, and we would like students to have a voice in this.
We like that our values now also link to our house teams and that this gives students from all year levels an opportunity to get to know each other better and improve their sense of belonging within the school. We will also be providing updates for students during our school assembly, as always this link will be shared with families.
